For Teens (and everyone else)

Yard Pong

This year, we will have a game of Yard Pong set up for attendees to play at their leisure. It’s the Beer Pong game you know, but bigger. Teams line up across the way and eliminate buckets by throwing a ball into theirs.

Valhalla Hathcets

The Valhalla Hatchets mobile unit will be on site at Waverly Oktoberfest on Saturday from 6PM to 8PM.

9-Square

Games of 9-Square will be an ongoing feature throughout Waverly Oktoberfest weekend. Can you keep the ball from landing in your square or going out of bounds on your hit? It’s not complicated, but it can be fast-paced. It’s volleyball, 4-square and more rolled into one, and it’s fun for all ages. 9-Square is provided to Waverly Oktoberfest courtesy of Northern Iowa Therapy.

Laser Tag

This year, a laser tag course will be available in the Teen Zone from 2PM to 8PM.

Gravity Bin Basketball Shootout

Grab a friend and see who’s got a better shot. We’ve brought in a large-scale arcade basketball game for the 2023 celebration.

Free Oktoberfest Games

Anybody and everybody are encouraged to participate in these contests. They’re open to all Festival attendees and are sure to provide memorable moments whether you win or lose.

Stein hoist

Hold that stein up high! Men, women, and children all take turns seeing how long they can hold a full stein. Some start to shake after seconds. Others stay solid for several minutes. Either way, the festival is more fun when you join in this free competition.

Hammerschlagen

Test your aim and pounding strength as rivals take turns striking a nail. The player to get her/his nail flush in fewer swings moves on. It’s free and just for fun, No experience expected, but there will be opportunities to practice during the festival. Also watch for a new twist on the game Saturday evening.

Keg Toss

How far could you throw an empty keg? Waverly Oktoberfest’s keg toss contest is back for 2022. This free competition is fun for people of all sizes and strengths and just as fun to watch. Get in on the fun Friday evening and again Saturday afternoon.

Teams playing cornhole or bags at the 2021 Waverly Iowa Oktoberfest

Cornhole competitions have been a part of Waverly Oktoberfest for years. In 2021, the festival partnered with Reggie Reicks to more closely align the event with other tournaments and leagues.

2024 Cornhole Tournament

$40 per team with a seven-game guarantee. $500 added to the 100% payout. At most one professional player per team.

Registration begins at 11 PM. Bags fly at Noon.

You are encouraged to bring your own resin-filled bags if you are able

Corn bags will NOT be allowed. One member of your team will need to download the Scoreholio app. This will send you notifications for your court assignment and match results plus you can follow and see the standings within the tournament.

You will play 4 rounds of round-robin gameplay that will determine your seeding for the double-elimination tournament. Once we get to the double-elimination portion, one-game matches will comprise the rest of the tournament on both the winners' and losers' sides of the bracket.

Games will be played to 21. There is no bust rule and you do NOT have to win by two.

You will be playing on ten sets of regulation-sized, ESPN-quality direct print boards.

ALL Sign-up happens FROM 11 AM - Noon IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT
